= CHINESE NEW YEAR~~~!! Did this card for my bro since he requested it but not so sure whether he still wants it or not. It's the Year of Rabbit but some thinks it looks more like a mouse instead. Not so sure why~~~ maybe the ears were not long enough. But I like what I've drawn. Sooooo cute~~~ ^_^

Lazy......

Think Laziness is an inborn character in me. Sometimes I need to push myself to stay at my desk to draw but am so tired after a day's work that all I wanted is to sit and laze around to prep myself for the next working day. Reality truly kills all Dreams.

But when I think back on all the things I have done (doing a calender, submitting comic for competition etc), I know I can do it. All I need to is a START......... and the perseverance to keep the ball rolling~~~ Hahahaha! I have been starting the engine, driving and then holding the engine for a drink at the rest stop. How I wished I managed to find a drawing job. Well, if not then maybe I should look at other alternatives to achieve it.

Xmas cards

I'm back~~ after 2 months! Been doing cards for my friends, this is my Sheepish series.
I find that mini cards are kind of difficult to draw details but they were way cuter than the postcard size ones. Hehehe!

I did try to mail out a few days before but unfortunately, some of them got it after the Xmas. Well, better late than never. They are cute right~~~ like the sleeping one best.
May do a few more "Sheeps" before I wrap it up and move on. ^_^/

My encouragement to J : Jia you ah!

One of the things I missed.....

is drawing faces while traveling to work/home. As I worked nearer to home, I need not use the public transport much, thus less chances on drawing faces. I do draw some watching TV but still like those that I have seen myself. I noticed that actually pretty faces are hard to draw as they have less distinct features other than the usual big eyes, almond-shaped face etc. I also like to draw people with unique hairstyles. It helps as not only I can hone my skill, I also need not think so much on drawing characters or people, just choose from my book can already. Hahahaha!

This is 1 of my characters that I had drawn for postcards, the Single Girl series. Think she looks cute with the hat.

After looking at the October picture I did for the calendar, I came up with the Witch & Nun dressing up for the Halloween as Bopee with her Sheep. Very funny hor~~ Hahaha! ^_^

Been very busy with a new job, hardly been able to sit down behind the desk and draw, much less getting inspirations. Thus not posting much. Really missed the days when I have time on my hands. Hope all the craziness can settle soon so I can allocate time to do my comic.

This weekend is 感触良多，一言难尽呀~~
Sometimes I will feel like this cat...... a bit emo, a bit depressed. Maybe cos of age, you can't be young forever right~~~. Well, I guess it's ok to walk in the rain once in a while but not to wallow in self-pity. ^_^
Anyway, to my Friend J~~ I also have the same feelings as you at times, you are not ALONE~~~ Hope you will see me next year, muahahahaha!

Another Birthday Postcard done in 1 hour~~~ so proud of myself. Hehehehe! ^_^
Actually ever received feedback from sibling's colleagues that the cards looked like it's printed rather than hand-drawn. I have mixed feelings about it as while it means the card is well-done but lacks unique touches that will show that it's actually hand-drawn. Well, I'm still happy~~ Wahahahaha!

Hope my work will improve further and soon!

Too Many Cooks

Spoil the Broth~~ It is so very true cos it happened to me recently. And I was the ONE to request for those OPINIONS!!! Sigh~~~ too bad at that time I wasn't sure of what I wanted, thus asking for opinions and being upset by the responses.
So, as suggested by my another friend D, I decided to restart my brain and really think through what I wanted. Cos afterall, I did make the 1st step by quitting my last job, this may be the only opportunity I have during this period of time.

Postcard #16

Titled : What Goes On in the Fridge (when the lights are out, hehehehhe!!)
Okie, i did this card on the MRT train rides to & fro work and it was drawn directly instead of marking out in pencil. Very proud of myself. ^_^ But was done quite sometime back, maybe 1-2 years ago.
Anyway, I know it is a small achievement, but nevertheless, it is still an achievement. I'm posting it out to one of my friends who I promised her I will mail it to her when I'm done with it (actually, i was keeping it, wahahaha!). So thus the colouring and maybe posting it out by this week. I'm sure she won't remembered asking for it but think she will be happy receiving it.

I missed the time drawing postcards while on the MRT trains, it sort of make the long rides passed so much faster. But I won't really missed it so much as I would like to work nearer to home. Hahahaha!

Comic #1 - Love Letter

Ta ta~~~ My 1st comic to upload to my blog!
Actually my story telling still suxs, hope subsequent ones will be better! Took my own sweet time to draw it, it is quite tough sitting at my desk while my lazy bones keep asking me to go laze around~~~ Maybe I'm not as into it as the other comic artists are, heard that there are people who could keep drawing the whole day, but I can't. Think I have to be disciplined and determined in order to realise my dream of working as a comic artist!
But the most important thing i have to do is KEEP IMPROVING!

Titled : Chats à Paris
So cute rite!!! I started with Cats with Boots, decided to do it with a French taste and liked the effect so came up with the other 2. Did research on the hats and amended the designs a bit to suit my style. Hopefully I won't stop at 3~~! ^_^

Titled : APPLE TREAT
It is my 1st attempt at water colours & i sux!!! Too much reds & yellows already. I always spoiled my drawings due to my lousy colouring skills. Room for improvement, hope the next 1 will be better!

I had developed an interest to draw veggies for a period of time and had made this card some time back. Can anyone tell me the reason for the title?? Heh heh heh~~ anyway, i dun really like carrots and i think the yam is coloured very well. ^_^

I kept having the chorus :"You're one in a million, You're once in a lifetime" from Miss Congeniality Movie running around in my head when i drew this postcard, thus naturally the title will be "One in a Million". Very obvious hor, hahahhaa!!

Handpainted Bag

My 1st handpainted bag~~~ 1st pic is the front, the 2nd is the back. Taken 1 day to sketch and paint on the bag, not so bad hor! Now I only need to is iron it, wash it, put a zipper and wola! Ready to be used~~! \^_^/
